Africa is a growing continent and despite the challenges, our people are
advancing various ways and innovative means, ranging from sports to academia
entrepreneurship, science, technology and infrastructure ecosystems and so on.
In all of these the African youth as critical stakeholders holds strategic
positions in the present defining moments in Africa.
In this great continent about 65% are below age 35 years and over 35% are
between 15 and 35 years.
As a young Leader we need to build a united and sustainable Africa through
youth engagements, Inclusion and participation. by ensuring young Africans
contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the African Union Commission
by promoting mutual collaboration among African Youth, and working in
partnership with state and non-state actors in order to empower the African
Youth, without distinction of color, sex, gender, disability, special needs,
socio economic status, marital
status, language, religious belief or political opinion
Ensuring AYUC as a continental platform with universal outlook which
mainstreams African Youth in to the work of the African Union at all levels;
supporting and advocating for an enabling environment that facilitates the
active participation and influence of African Youth in decision-making
processes, and the consideration of youth-specific needs in all policy areas.
