Sports Minister meets Egyptian national football team

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, met the players of the first national football team and the technical staff, led by Portuguese Rui Vitoria, during their training camp held at Borg El Arab Stadium.


The training session was attended by Gamal Allam, President of the Football Association, and a group of the Football Association Council members, including "Major General Helmy Mashhour, Amer Hussein, Captain Mohamed Barakat, and Captain Hazem Imam."


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy expressed his wishes for success to the new technical staff and all players in the competition journey in the 2024 African Championship, and qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, pointing to providing all support to the team in coordination with the Egyptian Football Association.


For his part, the President of the Football Association expressed his appreciation for the visit of the Minister of Youth and Sports to the national team camp, stressing that all support to the players and the technical staff is provided, and the atmosphere is created for them to achieve the expected accomplishments.


While the star of the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Salah, said: There is great enthusiasm among all players, and we seek to achieve an achievement for Egyptian football in the coming period, and to make the fans happy, thanks to the excellence of the players joining the team and the vision of the new technical staff.


Roy Vitoria, the technical director of the national team, also stressed the importance of the support of the Minister of Sports and the President of the Football Association for the team, expressing his happiness with the players' commitment and their outstanding level, pointing to his enthusiasm to achieve victories with the Egyptian team in the upcoming competitions.
