Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, contacted the Egyptian shooting champion, Azmi Muhailba, to congratulate him on winning the gold medal in the World Shooting Championship held in Croatia.
In a historic achievement, Azmi Muhailba won the gold medal and first place in the World Shooting Championships held in Croatia in the skeet competitions.
Muhailba was crowned world champion in skeet competitions for the first time in Egypt’s history after beating American Vincent Hancock who won second place and Qatar’s Rasheed Saleh won third place in the final, Muhailba’s victory is a major achievement for the Egyptian Shooting.
With this achievement, Azmi managed to book Egypt’s first seat at the 2024 Paris Olympics, after qualifying for the final of the World Shooting Championships in Croatia.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy stressed the coordination and periodic follow-up with all sports federations and the Olympic Committee to prepare Egypt’s champions in various sports in preparation for the upcoming tournaments, qualifying for the Olympic Games in Paris, and competing for many medals.
