Sports Minister witnesses closing of International Rowing Regatta

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed today, Sunday, the closing of the events of the International Rowing Festival under the slogan "No carbon, no waste...Clean water", which was organized in line with the goals of the Cop 27 Climate Summit to achieve the goals of sustainable development.


The International Rowing Regatta was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the International and Egyptian Rowing Federations, and the Deep Dive Organization.


120 Egyptian and foreign players from more than 10 countries around the world participated in 50 boats for a distance of 1,000 meters. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy welcomed all participants in the events of the International Rowing Regatta from different countries within the various sports events hosted by Egypt throughout the year, and his keenness to achieve organizational success.


The Minister of Sports also praised the objectives of the international festival aimed at increasing environmental awareness and spreading the culture of preserving the environment, increasing the area of ​​green spaces, and maintaining the cleanliness of water bodies by holding many rowing activities, pointing to the ministry's keenness to intensify such environmentally friendly activities during the upcoming period.
