The meeting discussed files related to the efforts made to combat doping, and evaluate the most prominent programs in the past period. What will be implemented and approved from the programs in the next phase will be within the framework of the International Agency “WADA” policy to raise awareness of the dangers and harms of doping and the application of mechanisms to confront them.

The meeting program also included electing the “WADA” president, as the current president, “Witold Banka,” was re-elected based on the confidence of the council members in the tangible role played by the president of the council in achieving the vision and strategy of “WADA” and the board of directors during the previous period.

He affirmed that Egypt continues to confront doping through permanent coordination between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization and the implementation of specific programs and projects that achieve this approach according to the vision of the World Anti-Doping Agency.

This was concluded by a ceremony attended by the ambassadors of the countries of the Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, and Yemen, the President of the University of Ottawa, and the Dean of the College of Communications at the university. They honored Dr. Ashraf Sobhy looking forward to enhancing cooperation in the coming period, according to what was agreed upon during the talks held earlier between the two parties.
