Sports Minister congratulates the national team for boxing on the bronze medal of the World Youth Championship in Spain

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, congratulated the delegation of the national boxing team after "Omar Khaled" the national team player, won the bronze medal for the 92 kg competition at the World Youth Championship in Spain.


Egypt participates in the World Youth Boxing Championship, which is held at Ciudad Deportiva Camilo Cano in La Nucia, Spain, from 14 to 26 November.


The Minister of Youth and Sports affirmed the full support of the Egyptian Boxing Federation, headed by Dr. Abdel Aziz Ghoneim, for the federation’s return to excellence, with the players of the national boxing teams wishing all success in the preparation stages, competing vigorously, and achieving many medals in the upcoming tournaments.


The national team delegation is headed by Brigadier General Ahmed Farouk, Vice President of the Egyptian Boxing Federation and the team list includes: “Abdullah Saeed 54 kg, Ahmed Mohamed Heikal 63.5 kg, Mohamed Hossam 66 kg, Tamim Mohamed Naim 86 kg, Omar Khaled 92 kg, and the Egyptian national team is led technically by Captain Sherif Hazaa.
