Sobhy meets with Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Egypt

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, to discuss ways of cooperation between the two countries.


The meeting dealt with the latest developments related to joint youth and sports programs and projects within the agenda of the programs of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, and the bilateral relations between the two countries.


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy welcomed the visit of the Iraqi ambassador and discussed the future of youth and sports relations between the two countries, praising the fruitful cooperation with the State of Iraq, and the agreement of the two parties on a package of projects and programs whose implementation will be studied in the coming period.


Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Egypt, conveyed the greetings of the Iraqi Prime Minister, expressing Iraq's aspiration to deepen relations with Egypt in the fields of youth and sports.


The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Egypt invited Dr. Ashraf Sobhi to attend the Arabian Gulf Cup "Gulf 25" football competitions, which will be held from 6 to 19 January 2023 in Iraq with the participation of 8 teams: "Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Yemen, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE and Kuwait”.
