Sports Minister witnesses conclusion of Arab Championship for Table Tennis Clubs at Cairo Stadium

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed, on Saturday evening, the conclusion of the Arab Championship for Table Tennis Clubs, which Egypt hosted from December 25 to 31, in the covered hall of Cairo International Stadium, with the participation of 32 teams, including the “Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Enppi clubs. " 


The final match in the men's competitions brought together the teams of Enppi club and the Bahraini club, and this was preceded by the final of the women's competitions, in which the players of the Al-Ahly club team managed to defeat the Bahraini team, Aali team.


The final of the tournament was attended by Khalil Al Mohannadi, President of the Arab and Asian Federation and Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation, Alaa Musharraf, Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation, Khaled El Salhi, President of the African Union, Moataz Ashour, President of the Egyptian Table Tennis Federation, and a group of representatives of the delegations participating in the tournament.


The Minister of Youth and Sports congratulated the Egyptian teams for their distinguished performance in the Arab Club Championship competitions, emphasizing the development of the Egyptian sport of table tennis and its leadership in the Arab world and Africa.


The minister appreciated the performance of the organizing committee for the tournament, which came out in the best way, similar to the various tournaments hosted by Egypt throughout the year, and thanks to the country’s potential, including sports infrastructure, accommodation hotels, and an advanced network of roads, transportation, and international airports, in addition to the administrative and organizational expertise that it now Egypt enjoys.
