On Wednesday, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, led by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, launched the events of the tenth educational and enlightenment convoy in Cairo, in Al- Asmarat neighborhood, in the “Long Live Egypt 1” and “Long Live Egypt 5” schools for students of the General Certificate in the secondary and preparatory stages, whose events will continue until Thursday, under Patronage of PM Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.
The educational convoys project this year is under the slogan "The New Republic ... Science and Work", which is being implemented by the ministry for the tenth year in a row, in cooperation with the ministries of "Education and Technical Education, Local Development, Tasado Ma3ana Unity", as part of its plan in the presidential initiative, a dignified life for the year 2022-2023, and the border governorates and Upper Egypt in 16 governorates.
On its first day, the educational and enlightening convoys targeted the participation of 500 male and female students with preparatory and secondary certificates. The events of the day included a speech about the national project to confront rumors, entitled “Tasado Ma3ana” which included training sessions and workshops on “the concept of rumors, and how to distinguish them from facts and correct news.” Classifying rumors and showing their impact on the individual and society, proposing a number of measures and initiatives to counter rumors, using modern electronic methods and technologies during training activities.
The participating students expressed their happiness for attending the program, stressing that their (enriching awareness) contributes to building an empowered generation capable of confronting rumors, as they are among the most targeted groups of the war of false awareness.
The organization of the convoys' events came on its first day, with the presence of: "Professor Sayed Mostafa - General Supervisor of the Convoys and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram Al-Masa'i, Dr. Rania Lashin - Trainer of the 'Tasado Ma3ana' programme", Ahmed Mostafa - Project Coordinator at the Ministry.
The convoys are scheduled to reach 300,000 male and female students in 16 governorates of the presidential initiative "A Decent Life". and the border and Upper Egypt governorates.
