The International Federation of Sports Culture meets in Egypt for the first time

The Board of Directors of the International Federation for Sports Culture will hold its meetings in Cairo from 27 to 30 April. It is the first time to meet outside the European continent since its establishment a quarter of a century ago.

The Council approved the invitation of the Egyptian Federation for Sports Culture, headed by the journalist Ashraf Mahmoud, to hold the meeting in Cairo and visit some of its sporting, cultural, and historical landmarks.

It receives Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, to discuss the prospects for cooperation with the Council, headed by the Danish Mojan Kirkby, after sports culture has become one of the activities held on the sidelines of the Olympic regional and continental tournaments. It possesses a cultural heritage and development in the modern era.

The Egyptian Federation for Sports Culture will visit  Cairo Stadium, the Olympic Museum, the Citadel, the Museum of Civilizations, the pyramids area, the Al-Ahly Club, the Administrative Capital, a tour of the Suez Canal, and some modern sports facilities owned by the Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia Governorate according to the program prepared and approved by the International Federation.

The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the International Federation will attend the sports day held by the Federation of Sports Culture in cooperation with the Federation of Sports for All and the Federation of Electronic Games in the Olympic Center in Maadi.

It includes the Board of Directors: Mogens Kirkby - Denmark (President), Jacob Schoenberg - Denmark - General Secretary, Maria Luisa Souza Diaz - Brazil - Vice President, Helen Foust (England) Vice President, Liliana Ortiz de la Cruz - Colombia Vice President, and members: Michael Tiemann – Germany, And Daniela Conte, Italy, Jakub Kalinowski – Poland, Si Yin Chong China - Member - President of the Asian Union, Jane Greenberg United States - President of the North American Federation, Ashraf Mahmoud Egypt - President of the African Union, and Branko Vujovic – Serbia.
