Today, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed a side of the events of the Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics World Cup "Cairo 2023", which is being held in the covered hall of Cairo International Stadium from 27 to 30 April.
Sobhy commended the high level of the championship organization. He added that the confidence of the various international federations to award the various important tournaments is the best evidence of the strength and ability of the Egypt to host the largest tournaments, which it always strives for under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
He thanked Dr. Ehab Amin, President of the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation for the great efforts. The Minister of Youth and Sports also handed over medals to the winners at the end of today's competition for men's gymnastics, where Ukrainian ILLIA KOVTUN won the gold medal, Croatian Aurel BENOVIC won the silver medal, and Ireland's EAMON MONTGOME won the bronze medal.
Forty countries are competing in the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup. 155 gymnasts (97 men and 58 women) are participating in the tournament, representing Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Britain, Greece, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Panama, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Serbia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Ukraine, America, Uzbekistan and Vietnam, along with Egypt, the host country.
