Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, congratulated Egyptian player Mayar Sherif and the Egyptian Tennis Federation, headed by Professor Ismail El Shafei, after Mayar Sherif won the title of the Valencia Open Tennis Championship held in Spain.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy emphasized the development of Mayar Sherif's performance, her insistence on presenting strong matches and an honorable performance in front of all her competitors, and the determination to achieve victory, expecting her to achieve more success and progress in the international classification of the game during the coming period.
Sobhy indicated that the ministry continues to support programs and sponsorship of sports champions in line with the vision of the state under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which is witnessing many achievements and advancement at the level of various sectors.
Mayar Sherif succeeded in achieving the title of the Valencia International Open Tennis Championship after winning the final match against the Spanish Ribera Pasoles with a score of 2-0 after a distinguished and honorable performance throughout the tournament matches and the continuation of achieving distinguished results and raising the flag of Egypt high in all international competitions.
