After winning 15 diverse medals… Minister of Sports praises the results of Egypt’s Taekwondo and Weightlifting teams

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports, praised the results of the Egyptian Taekwondo team in the G1 Open European Games, as well as the results of the Egyptian Weightlifting team in the Youth World Championship. Both teams secured a total of 15 varied medals.
The minister commended the participation of Egyptian champions in various global and continental sports competitions. This participation aims to improve the Olympic ranking for athletes and provide strong competition against the world’s best players, in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In the Taekwondo team, Saif Issa clinched the gold medal, while Ahmed Wael Nasr and Aya Shehata secured bronze medals during the championship.
The Egyptian Weightlifting team achieved a total of 12 diverse medals at the Youth World Championship, including 4 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze medals. The medalists are as follows:
Gold medals:
Abdulrahman Hussein won two gold medals.
Mustafa Bakri and Hanen El Sayed, each received a gold medal.
Silver medals:
Both Abdulrahman Hussein and Mustafa Bakri earned two silver medals.
Mahmoud El Sayed Rabie and Omar Mahmoud Gaber also secured silver medals.
Bronze medals:
Mahmoud Gaber won two bronze medals.
Mariam Khaled received a bronze medal as well.
