Touristic and historical tours for "The African Initiators" in Aswan

 The African initiators participating in the African forum for youth initiatives "The Initiators", visited the Nubian Museum among number of touristic and historical tours in Aswan. They learned about the history of the Museum and where Aswan is located on the map.

The tour also included visiting the High Dam, Lake Nasser and its surrounding temples in addition to Abu Simbel Museum, as well as knowing the history of the Ancient Nubia and the Middle Kingdom.

 The Initiators visited Philae temple and learned about Its history and the reason for choosing Its location where it’s dedicated to the goddess Isis, which was drowned by the water of the Nile and was divided and reassembled in a new location over Agilkia island, about 500m from its original place on Philae island and it includes a temple of Hathor.

 The delegations visited the plant island, the Nubian village of Aswan and saw many unique plants scattered on the island in addition to the old Nubian buildings.

The Forum was participated by youth from several countries such as: Sierra Leone, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Liberia, Djibouti, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Morocco, Guinea Conakry, Ghana, Congo, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Cameroon, Namibia, Somalia, Sudan and Nigeria, Egypt The Forum is organized by Youth & Sports Ministry entitled "The Initiators Forum", from 1st to 7th of March in Aswan, in the context of the declaration of president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi the president of the Republic, that Aswan is the 2019 African youth Capital.
