Ministry of youth and sports concluded "we gathered through continent" project for African juniors

Ministry of youth and sports concluded the fifth edition of its project "we gathered through continent”, in cooperation with the Youth Association for Development and Environment, with the participation of African youth representing 9 African countries.

 Azza al-Dori, head of the Ministry’s Central Department for juniors, expressed her happiness with this solidarity for the children of Africa, stressing that the success of the project wouldn't been achieved without the success partners such as the Youth Association for Development and Environment and the “Athar” team, to accomplish the project objectives that includes forming a realistic and direct view of the outside world through A common vision for the unity of Africa, as well as encouraging the constructive dialogue and promoting the culture of peace among African young people.

The events of the project were hosted in Aswan, the capital of the African youth 2019, where the leaders of the delegations and the African youth participated in several visits to the touristic and historical places in Aswan, and declared the slogan of sustainable development "We did not leave anyone behind us without help."

The African youth also participated in a number of workshops about the implementation of sustainable development objectives, including poverty eradication, total elimination of hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water, clean energy at affordable prices, decent work and economic growth, Industry, innovation and infrastructure, reducing inequalities through simple art works.

 The program included an exhibition of products carried out by the young participants, including models on how to protect the environment and the embodiment of the objectives of sustainable development, which were presented in the form of illustration figures by using simple raw materials.

The workshops also aimed to enhance the human development aspects by implementing virtual simulation trips to explore different information in the form of stories about historical sites, as well as competitions about historical information and mental activities to enhance the ability of the African youth to imagine and be creative in the advancement of their continent.
