Tomorrow, launching the 47th edition of Egypt International cycling race in Luxor and Aswan

With the participation of 11 countries the 47th edition of Egypt International cycling race will be held tomorrow in Luxor and Aswan under the auspices of Youth & Sports Ministry and organized by the Egyptian cycling Federation from 23th to 26th of March.
The events will be attended by 120 contestants representing 11 countries: Germany, Russia, Greece, Malaysia, Angola, Morocco, Algeria, Oman, Bahrain, UAE in addition to Egypt, the organizing country.
The technical meeting of the race will be held this evening with the participation of the participating countries representatives, to announce all the technical and administrative matters and the rules of the race
It’s scheduled for the opening ceremony and the race events to take place on Saturday from Abu Hajjaj Square in front of Luxor Temple, which will include folk and Nubian arts, and the conclusion will be in Aswan.
This comes within the framework of Ministry of Youth and Sports plan headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy to support sports tourism, which reflects the role of sport in contributing to the promotion of tourism through the organization of events and international sporting championships.
Sports Minister thanked the political leadership for its support for sports and Egypt's athletes in various sports, stressing that Egypt is currently enjoying stability and security. He pointed out that this has contributed to make Egypt attractive to host world championships and sporting events.
The Egyptian International Cycling race has returned after 4 years of absence, to start again with its 47 version to take its place on the international cycling map.
