Within the framework of a series of dialogue sessions
carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to educate youth on various
issues and files in various fields, the Ministry of Youth and Sports carried
out a dialogue session on the proposed constitutional amendments, in the
presence of 180 young men and women from different governorates.
The session was held at the Civil Education Center in
Cairo in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports and
Ashraf Rashad, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee of the House of
Representatives in addition to Advisor Khaled Iraq, member of the National
Election Authority.
Adviser Khalid Iraq discussed with the participants
the proposed constitutional amendments, the roles assigned to the National
Election Authority and the method of selecting its members from the judicial
bodies, calling on youth to participate in the referendum on constitutional
amendments as a basic right guaranteed by the Constitution.
Ashraf Rashad, Chairman of the Youth and Sports
Committee in the House of Representatives, reviewed the steps of the procedural
process to request the amendment of the Constitution within the House of
Representatives, and the community dialogue sessions to discuss the proposed
amendments.
On the other hand, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy stressed that Egypt pays
special attention to the young people and that various training programs are
implemented to improve their skills and abilities and to enable them in the
various fields as they are a key partner in the process of construction and
development.
