Youth & Sports Ministry provides a package of services and preparations for hosting Africa Cup of Nations 2019

In preparation for
Egypt's hosting of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in June, the Ministry of
Youth and Sports, headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, will provide a package of
services and preparations, including some preparations for reaching the young
people around the world on one hand and covering of the event, providing sports
services to know about the teams and competitions and places and how to attend
the matches through Egypt gate for youth and sports, the official page of the
ministry, on the other hand, in addition to a group of organizational preparations to accommodate
the delegations of the participating teams, as well as renewing and developing
the sports facilities that will host the championship.
This comes as an
affirmation of the Ministry's keenness on making the Championship a success
also affirmation of the interest of the country's political leadership in this
important event, which will be witnessed by nearly 2.1 billion people from all
over the world via satellite broadcasting, reflecting Egypt's organizational
capabilities for sports events and tournaments.
Ministry of Youth and
Sports, headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, launched
Egypt gate for youth and sports with four languages (Arabic, English, French
and Swahili) in preparation for Africa Cup of Nations 2019, as well as
communicating with the Egyptian and African youth internally and externally.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy
stressed that Egypt gate for youth and sports with its four languages will be a
bridge of communication between the youth of Egypt and Africa before starting
Africa cup of Nations, referring the Ministry's keenness to provide a new
service to the fans of the Championship by communicating with African countries
in their languages, Based on the status and role of Egypt in the African
continent.
Gamal Nour Elden,
Editor-in-chief of Egypt gate for youth and sports, stressed that the gate,
with its four languages, provides a comprehensive coverage of the Championship
hosted by Egypt.
On the other hand,
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, has made several inspection
tours to follow up the progress of the work and the completion of the stadium
system, also ensure that they are completed on time according to the
instruction of the political leadership, As well as the unified electronic
system of all the facilities which hosting the Championship, and work on
providing comfort for the masses, whether to enter or exit and spend enjoyable
times by providing everything they need throughout their presence in the stands.
Minister of Youth and
Sports pointed out that the development works include the development of the
entrances and exits of the Cairo International Stadium and its main external
facades, as well as the ground and the first floor, in addition to the main
cabin and (
The works also
include replacing and renovating the football field, and the track around it,
as well as supplying and maintenance of displays inside the stadium.
At Cairo Stadium, the
work is carrying out quickly, and the preparation includes changing and
developing the overall shape of the stadium, in terms of developing the main
entrance of the stadium, the floor of the main entrance of the cabin and
changing the asphalt to printed concrete floors.
On the other hand
Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy met with Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister
of Communications and Information Technology, and Major General Khaled Abdel
Aal, Governor of Cairo, to follow up the progress of the work and the final
preparations for all the stadiums that will host the Championship next June. In
terms of technical preparations, Telecom Egypt will connect all stadiums
participating in the Championship with a network of fiber optics providing
excellent coverage of high quality communications and internet services in the
stadiums, as well as providing the necessary infrastructure for television
broadcasting.
Also Sobhy
coordinated with The Minister of Civil Aviation, lieutenant general Younis
Al-Masry, to discuss the contributions of the Ministry of Civil Aviation in the
Championship and take all the procedures followed in receiving the
participants, senior visitors and accompanying delegations.
An arrival hall was
set up within the Egyptian airports for the African teams participating in the
championship, and establishing special units at airports to facilitate the
completion of travel and access procedures, after the meeting of the Organizing
Committee of the championship and the agreement to provide all facilities.
