Minister of Youth and Sports and Governor of Aswan attend the 1st Marathon of African youth in Aswan

 The first edition of the African Youth Marathon was launched today from the new Aswan Bridge to Aswan Club with a total a distance 11 kilometers, which comes in the context of the activities of Aswan, Capital of the African youth, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the participation of 1500 of young people from 27 African countries, and attended by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Major General Ahmed Ibrahim, Governor of Aswan.

 The Ministry of Youth and Sports is implementing a number of programs and activities in the governorate, which aims to integrate the people of the African continent in one crucible, to ensure that Egypt always exists with its brothers and friends from the African countries, with the aim of development in all fields.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy expressed his happiness with the presence of this crowd of African communities in Egypt to participate in this great sporting event, which is held in its first edition in Aswan, referring  that there are more activities and youth and sports activities implemented by the ministry for the people of the continent on the land of Egypt, concurrently with Egypt's presidency of the African Union. 

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy extended thanks to Major General Ahmed Ibrahim, the Governor of Aswan, for his great efforts in providing all possibilities to host these sports events, which will contribute to the promotion of tourism for the historical landmarks of Aswan.
