Mohamed El-Shorbagy qualifies for the quarter-finals of El Gouna International Squash Open Championship


Mohamed El-Shorbagy, player of the first national squash team, qualified for the quarter-finals of El Gouna International Squash Open Championship after beating his rival Cesar Salazar 3/0 with an 11/8, 11/9 and 11/1 victory at the encounter of the 16th round of the Championship.


El Gouna International Squash Open Championship is one of the largest annual international championships for professional squash players, as it is the only Championship held in Egypt among the seven major international Championships in the world in terms of the grand prize and its contribution to improve the world ranking of the players. The event is organized by I-Events, headed by Amr Mansi, in cooperation with ORASCOM Development Egypt.


The total prize of the Championship is 352.000 dollars, and it was snatched last year by Egypt’s World No.1 Raneem El Welily and Egypt's World No.3 Marwan El-Shorbagy players of Wadi Degla Sports Club.
