Egypt’s three-time World Champion Ramy Ashour announces retirement from squash


Ramy Ashour, player of the first national squash team, announced his retirement from squash after several attempts to return to the game and after an eventful career where he was crowned three times as the world champion in 2008, 2012 and 2014. 


Ashour said through a video on his official page on Facebook that he enjoyed all his moments playing squash, whether the moments of victory or refraction.


He added that he made many attempts to return again after going to different doctors and after he has undergone many surgical operations but they all failed, so he announced his final decision to retire and his satisfaction of the period he spent playing squash.
