Ahmed Abdel Rahman eliminated from Hohhot Grand Prix in China in -66 kg contest

Ahmed Abdel Rahman, player of the national judo team, eliminated from Hohhot grand prix 2019 in China, which takes place from 24th to 26th of May.


His loss against his rival Ismayil Ibrahimov from Azerbaijan in the 2nd round of men’s -66 kg contests resulted in his exit from the championship.


Limhwan Kim, the South Korean player, snatched the gold medal after beating Grigoryan Aram, from Russia who came in the second place and won silver medal.


The first bronze medal in the championship was won by Ming Yen Tsai from Chinese Taipei while the second bronze medal went to Baskhuu Yondonperenlei from Mongolia. 


Egypt Participates in the championship with 6 male players: Mohamed Mohy Eldin, Abdel Rahman Mohamed, Hatem Abdel Akher, Ahmed Waheed, Mohamed Abdelaal and Ahmed Abdel Rahman.


Hohhot Grand Prix is a part of the International Judo Federation (IJF) World Judo Tour. Athletes get the possibility to earn 100% Olympic qualification points and the prize money.
