Ashraf Sobhy honors Hana Goda after choosing her by the International Table Tennis Federation to represent Egypt and Africa


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, honored the eleven-year-old table tennis champion Hana Goda after choosing her by the International Table Tennis Federation to represent Egypt and Africa in the worldwide Hope Camp and in the World Championship under the age of 12, which will be held in Oman from 25th to 31st of July.


Sobhy expressed his happiness with the selection of the International Table Tennis Federation to Hana to represent Egypt and Africa, adding that the ministry is interested in all players, especially the talented, and called Hana to exercise and work on raising her technical level, adding that Hana is a distinct talent and that the ministry is working on providing all means to support her and overcome the obstacles to her dream of achieving an Olympic medal.


Hana Goda thanked the Minister and expressed her happiness for honoring her and for representing Egypt. Stressing that She has to work on developing her technical level with complete care and continuously through the permanent planning of camps and internal and external tournaments to reach her global sports and Olympic dream and raise the name of Egypt high in the international tournaments. “I hope to snatch a medal on 2024 Olympics”, Hana Said.


Hana won a number of medals at different championships where she snatched gold medal at 2016 Algeria championship, silver medal at 2017 Sweden championship in addition to 2 golds at each 2018 Tunisia and the African Championship as well as being classified as number 1 in Egypt under the age of 12.


The meeting was attended by Mohamed El-Moataz, president of International Table Tennis Federation and Dr. Radwa Azab Hana's Mother.
