History of Arab teams participating in AFCON
Egypt hosts the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations which takes place from June 21 to July 19, with the participation of five Arab Countries from 24 African countries and they are (Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania and Egypt the hosting country), where Egypt is considered the oldest Arab country participating in AFCON while Mauritania is the Newest Arab Country that participates in AFCON.
The Pharaohs participate in the tournament for this version after having participated 23 times, where they played 91 games, won 51 of them, lost 25 and drew in 15 games, scored 155 goals and conceded 86.
Mohamed Salah, player of Liverpool and the national team, is one of the best players in the Pharaohs team for his outstanding performance. As he managed to collect many awards including the best player In Africa from the Moroccan national newspaper 2017, the 2017 England Player of the Year award, the Football writers' Association of England award for the best player of the first season 2017, the English Premier League sponsor award for the best player in the 2017 Premier League, the Golden Boot in the English Premier League 2017, 2018.
Tunisia Have participated 19 times before, where they played 68 games won 22 games among them, lost 21 games and drew in 25 of them, scoring 88 goals and conceded 86.
Youssef El Msakni is one of the most prominent players in the Carthage Eagles, who was crowned the Golden Boot as the top scorer of the Tunisian league for the 2011-2012 season.
Morocco Has also participated in the tournament 17 times before, where they played 31 games, won 21 games, lost 13 of them and drew in 22. scoring 70 goals and conceded 57 goals.
Morocco is participating with the star of its national team, Mehdi Ben Attia, who has won many awards, including one of the top scorers of the Moroccan league in 2017-2018.
