Nigeria qualifies for AFCON round of 8 after beating Cameroon 3-2


Nigeria qualified for the round of 8 after winning the match over Cameroon 3-2 at round of 16 of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations at their game on Saturday at Alexandria Stadium.


Odion Ighalo scored the first goal in the game and the first for Nigeria at the 19th minute, but followed by two goals for Cameroon at the 41st and 44th minutes by Stephane Bahoken and Clinton Njie. Ighalo went to drew with Cameroon with his second goal at the 63rd minute, followed by the third after 3 minutes by Alex Iwobi who ended the game with 3 goal for Nigeria and toke Nigeria to became the third team to reach the round of 8 of AFCON.


Nigeria qualified for the round of 16 after winning the second place in Group F with 5 points. While Cameroon came in second place of Group B with 6 points.
