Egypt won over Australia at the opening of the 2019 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship

The national handball team under the age of 21, the Technical Director, won over Australia 44-17, at the matches of the 1st round of the 2019 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship, which takes place from 16th to 28th of July, with the participation of 24 teams.
The first half ended 21-6 for the Egyptian team.
It’s scheduled for our team to meet Nigeria at the 2nd round at 5 pm Wednesday and get a rest of the matches Thursday, and then meet Sweden Friday at 12 pm, and then South Korea at 7 pm Saturday, before finishing the first stage by a match against France at 2 pm Monday 22 July.
The teams were divided into 4 groups, each includes 6 teams:
Group A:
Spain, Slovenia, Serbia, Tunisia, Japan and America.
Group B:
France, Egypt, Sweden, Nigeria, South Korea and Australia.
Group C:
Portugal, Croatia, Hungary, Brazil, Bahrain and Kosovo.
Group D:
Germany, Iceland, Norway, Argentina, Denmark and Chile.
The championship system stipulates that the first four teams in each group qualify for the main stage, where the first of Group A will play with the fourth of Group B, the second of Group A will meet the third of Group B, the third of Group A meets the second of Group B, the fourth of Group A will meet the first of Group B, And so on for the Group C and D. The winner qualifies directly to the next round.
The national junior team's delegation includes:
Mustafa Shawki, member of the federation’s Board of Directors as a head of the mission, Tarek Mahrous, Technical Director, Hany Al Fakhrani Assistant Trainer, Amr Essam, Physiotherapist, and Mohamed Suleiman, Managing Director and Performance Analyst.

Abdel Rahman Taha, Abdel Rahman Hameed, Galal Khorshid, Abdel Aziz Ehab, Shihab Abdullah, Hassan Waleed, Saif El Deraa, Ahmed Hisham, Ahmed Radi, Hazem Mamdouh, Mohsen Ramadan, Mohamed El Azhari, Omar Khaled, Omar Sami, Khaled Waleed and Yasser Mohamed.
The national youth team, who were born in 1998, prepared for the World Championship through playing a number of international friendly matches, which started by a game against Bahrain in Cairo, and then traveled to Sweden on July 2 and took part in an international tournament during which they played three matches with Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Then the team headed to France and took part in an international friendly tournament from July 7 to 11, during which they played three games with France, Portugal and Japan, and then traveled to a final camp in Portugal, heading directly to Spain.
