Ashraf Sobhy meets with President of the Egyptian Handball Federation


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Hisham Nasr, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation, and Coach Hassan Labib, Manager of the 2021 Handball World Cup, to discuss the World Cup preparations, hosted by Egypt.


Sobhy stressed that Egypt now has a distinctive sports infrastructure that has made Egypt one of the best countries in the World to attract sports events.


Sobhy asked the board of directors of the handball federation to exert more effort to ensure that the team will appear in an appropriate look during the next World Championship. Pointing out that the ministry will provide all the financial, moral and logistical resources to prepare a team worthy of Egypt’s name and reputation. 


At the same context, Sobhy praised the results of the handball team, where they won over South Korea 38-36 achieving their forth victory in their game on Saturday as part of the fourth round of the group stage.


The national handball team is playing at the Men’s Handball World Championship is its 22nd edition hosted by Spain from July 16 to 28.
