Egypt beats Zambia in the African Hockey Road to Tokyo 2020

The Egyptian national hockey team won over Zambia 6-0 in the first matches of the African Hockey Road to Tokyo 2020, held in South Africa from 12th to 18th of August.

Egypt, Zambia, Ghana, Namibia, Kenya and South Africa are participating in the championship.

It’s scheduled for our national team to meet Kenya in the next round.

The Egyptian national team got prepared for these qualifiers in a closed camp in Ismailia governorate.

Our national team, led by Mohy Zaghloul the Technical Director, is hoping to snatch the qualifying ticket, especially after their outstanding performance at the last French International Championship, held last month in France. Note that South Africa is the first candidate to win the qualifiers.

The team who wins the first place, qualifies for the finals of the 2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo.
