Egypt beats Kenya in the African Hockey Road to Tokyo 2020

The Egyptian national hockey team won over Kenya 7-2 in the second round of the African Hockey Road to Tokyo 2020, held in South Africa from 12th to 18th of August.

Our national team started the championship with a victory over Zambia 6-0.

Egypt, Zambia, Ghana, Namibia, Kenya and South Africa are participating in the championship.

It’s scheduled for our national team to meet Namibia in the third round.

Our national team, led by Mohy Zaghloul the Technical Director, is hoping to snatch the qualifying ticket, especially after their outstanding performance at the last French International Championship, held last month in France. Note that South Africa is the first candidate to win the qualifiers.

The team who wins the first place, qualifies for the finals of the 2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo.
