Egyptian champions defeat Slovenia to proceed to the Men’s Youth (U19) World Championship quarter-final stage


The Egyptian national handball team won over the Slovenian national team, who came in the fourth place of Group (A), 31-24 as part of the round of 16 competitions and qualified for the 2019 IHF Men’s Youth (U19) World Championship quarter-final stage, held in Macedonia from 6th to 18th of August 2019.


The first half ended with an advancement for the Pharaohs 16-8, before the Slovenian team reduced the gap during the second half.


Our team topped Group B with 8 points collected from winning 4 games and losing one. While Slovenia collected 4 points from winning two games only.


Egypt's national team came in the first place of their group with 8 points. As they started their matches in the championship by defeating their Swedish rival 32-29. Before losing to France 28-32. Then won over Chinese Taipei 36-25 and over Canada 47-20. In addition to their victory over Hungary 31-24.
