Egypt scores full mark two rounds before the end of the African Hockey Road to Tokyo 2020 group stage

The first Egyptian national hockey team, led by Mohy Zaghloul, scored the full mark two rounds before the end of the group stage of the African Hockey Road to Tokyo 2020, held in South Africa from 12th to 18th of August.

The Pharaohs scored nine points by winning three consecutive games against Zambia, Kenya and Namibia, with two games remaining against Ghana and South Africa respectively.

Our national team started the championship with a victory over Zambia 6-0, then won the game over Kenya 7-2 in the second round also won over Namibia 6-1 in the third round of the African Hockey Road to Tokyo 2020.

Egypt, Zambia, Ghana, Namibia, Kenya and South Africa are participating in the championship.

It’s scheduled for Egypt’s team to have a break before facing Ghana at the fourth round of the Championship.

Our national team, led by Mohy Zaghloul, is hoping to snatch the qualifying ticket, especially after their outstanding performance at the last French International Championship, held last month in France. Note that South Africa is the first candidate to win the qualifiers.

The team who wins the first place, qualifies for the finals of the 2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo.
