Egypt loses to Angola in AfroBasketWomen


The first Egyptian national women basketball team lost their game against Angola 66-68 in the matches that determine the winners of the fifth to eighth places in FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Championship, held in Senegal from 10th to 18th of August.


Egypt’s team will face their Ivorian rival on Saturday to determine the winners of the seventh and eighth places.


Our national team lost to Mozambique 80-60 at the quarter final, while Angola lost to Senegal.


Egypt’s team qualified for the quarter final after beating Cameroon 68-63. While Mozambique qualified after topping group D.


Egypt’s team includes 14 players: Asrar Maged, Thoraya Mohamed, Jana Mostafa, Raneem Mohamed, Reem Osama, Fatma Mamdouh, Reem Hisham, Menna Allah Mohamed, Miral Ashraf, Nada Nafaa, Nour Allah Ali Talaat, and Hala Mostafa.
