Minister of youth and sports received the adventurer Omar Hegazy

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy minister of youth and sports, and Ahmed Rashed governorate of Al-Giza welcomed the adventurer Omar Hegazy at the pyramids of Giza. Omar Hegazy the disability challenger who came from a long distance riding his bicycle from Taba city in South Sinai to Al-Giza governorate with a truncated leg in a journey took 10 days in overall 660 Km

Sobhy praised Omar's high spirit and his ability to challenge in riding his bicycle from Taba in South Saini to Al-Giza governorate

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy assured the keenness of the ministry on encouraging youth with special needs to do sports through a group of projects and programs executed by the ministry. In addition to the activities held in the clubs and youth centers in the governorates

 The governor expressed his thanks and appreciation to the minister for his support and encouragement of the athletes and youth with special needs. And working on fulfilling their needs and desires. Also giving them the chance to practice the social, artistic and sports activities inside the facilities of the ministry. All this came in the frame of the plan of the country to merge people with special needs with the society

The adventurous Omar Hegazy is 27 years old, he made an accident 3 years ago costed him his leg. And he is considered the first Arabic and Egyptian swimmer to cross the bay from Jordan to Egypt. He also participated in many international races to support sports
