Egypt dominates AAG medals table with 273 medals


The 12th All Africa Games have ended with Egypt dominating the medals table with 273 different medals. The Egyptian delegation broke all records in the number of medals recorded in the history of the African Games that were launched in 1965 in Brazzaville, Congo.


Egypt came in the first place of the tournament with 273 medals (102 golds, 98 silvers and 73 bronzes).


Nigeria came in the second place with 127 different medals (46 golds, 33 silvers and 48 bronzes), while South Africa came in third with 87 medals (36 golds, 26 silvers and 25 bronzes). In the fourth place came Algeria with 125 medals (33 golds, 32 silvers and 60 bronzes).
