The African Union Mission members meet with the youth and sports ministry’s leaderships


The Ministry of Youth and Sports hosted the Mission members of the African Union Commission at the ministry's general administration, where they met with a number of leaders, within the framework of the preparations carried out by the Arab Republic of Egypt to host the largest voluntary program in Africa.


The objective of the visit is for them to get acquainted with the different sectors of the ministry and the various activities organized.


The inspection tour of the second day of the delegation included a meeting with Ms. Dina Fouad, head of the central administration of the Parliament and Civic Education, to discuss the details of joint cooperation in organizing the African Union Youth Volunteer Corps-AUYVC, noting that Ms. Dina stressed that all sponsorship would be provided in order to organize the event in an appropriate manner worthy of the name of the Egyptian state. 


The delegation of the African Union also met with Dr. Ahmed El Sheikh, Head of the Central Administration for the Minister's Bureau Affairs, where the delegation expressed admiration for the multiplicity of the activities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in promoting African youth work and building the leadership capacities of the youth of the continent and giving them the opportunity to visit Egypt.


In the same context, the delegation visited the Faculty of Postgraduate African Studies and met with Dr. Attia Tantawi, Vice Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Rasha Abu Shakra, faculty member, to discuss ways of future partnership at the level of student activities and scholarships.
