Eleven short films nominated for the African Creativity Oscar


The Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the African Union commission have organized a competition for short films as a part of the Oscar’s activities that is set to be held till the 10th of September 2019 and taking place in Cairo and El-Fayoum. 


The nominated films are, “The green killers” from Togo, “Raqm” Egypt, “Mounera” Egypt, “Lam Yantahi Baad” Mauritania, “Enough” South Sudan, “Alya” and “Man Anta” Somalia, “Restoring Ughanda Northern chapter” Ughanda, “Arous Alarbaoon” Sudan, and “Jethwa” from Kenya. 


The African Creativity Oscar judges are,  head representative of the Arts Academy  dr. Ghada Gobara, film director Mr. Hany Khalifa, photography director Mr. Ahmed Hussien. 


The participating countries in the African Creativity Oscar are, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Somalia, Ughanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Zambia, Gambia, Comoros, Malawi, Nigeria, Cameron, Togo, Kenya, Madagascar, South Africa in addition to Egypt.
