Ashraf Sobhy: Egypt’s girls’ volleyball team is capable of achieving a new victory to the Egyptian sports

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, praised the Egyptian girls' volleyball team as they won the game over Cameroon 3-1 in the 2nd round of the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship, hosted by Egypt from September 5 to 14.


Our national team won over Puerto Rico at the 1st round and over Cameroon at the 2nd round and scheduled to meet China on Saturday.


Sobhy stressed the ministry’s support to Egypt’s girls' volleyball team and believe that they have great potential and capable to continue winning at the championship, and adding a new achievement to the Egyptian sport.


The Minister emphasized that the impressive results of the junior and youth handball team, the youth volleyball team and the results of the All Africa Games 2019, raised the ceiling of the ambition of Egyptians in all tournaments in order to achieve impressive results in various sports tournaments during this time, especially in light of the huge public support.
