Egyptian Federation of Modern Pentathlon end his preparations for the African Championship and World Cup 2019

The Egyptian Federation of Modern Pentathlon has finished its preparations for hosting the African Championship, that qualifies for Tokyo Olympics 2020, which starts in 24th of February 2019, in addition to hosting The World Modern Pentathlon Championship from 27th of February to 3rd of March 2019, on the stadiums of the Platinum Sports Club in Cairo.
30 countries confirmed their participation in The World Modern Pentathlon Championship and they are: Germany, England, Hungary, Ireland, America, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as Egypt the organizing country with total number 81 male player and 70 female player, in addition to 93 managers and coaches.
Eng. Sherif El-Erian, Chairman of the Egyptian Federation of the Modern Pentathlon, said that the Federation held several meetings with the organizing committee in order to determine the final preparations for the organization of the African Championship and the World Cup, as well as the preparations of the Egyptian team, which participates with 24 players.
El-Erian added that the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon federation board of directors approved the request of the teams of Bahrain, Belarus, Lithuania, Turkey, Ukraine and South Africa to join the training camp with the Egyptian team before the World Cup, where the teams start to reach Cairo on Sunday 10th of February 2019.
The International Modern Pentathlon Union confirmed that a delegation consists of 20 members will reach the city of Cairo to attend the African Championship and World Cup events, headed by Klaus Schurman, President of the International Federation, and Shaini Fang, Secretary General of the International Federation.
