Ashraf Sobhy meets with Egyptian swimming champion Hania Moro

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Egypt and Africa’s swimming champion Hania Moro. In the presence of Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Swimming Federation, Major General Mohamed Nour Salem, Executive Director of the National Sports Council in addition to Huda Ayoub, Head of the Central Department of Sports Investment, and Mohamed El Kurdi, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports.


The Minister listened to the demands of the Egyptian champion and stressed that Hania Moro deserves all the support and appreciation like all athletes and champions of Egypt in various games.


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy added that the Ministry will provide full support and sponsorship in coordination with the Egyptian Swimming Federation, in order to prepare the Egyptian champion for Tokyo 2020.


Hania snatched 4 gold medals at the 2019 All Africa Games held in Morocco last August, in the 1500m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle and 800m free style contests. It’s not her first time to raise Egypt’s flag on the international and African tournaments.
