Egypt is in Group A at the 2020 African Men’s Handball Championship

The draw for the 2020 African Men’s Handball Championship, scheduled to be held in Tunisia from 16 to 26 January, put our national team in Group A.


Egypt’s group includes Kenya, Guinea and DR Congo. 


While the other groups came as follows:


Group B: Libya, Nigeria, Gabon and Angola.


Group C: Cape Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon and Tunisia.


Group D: Zambia, Senegal, Morocco, Algeria and Congo Brazzaville.


The winner will qualify directly for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The first seven teams qualify for the 2021 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship in Egypt after increasing the number of teams participating in the World Cup to 32 instead of 24 in previous tournaments.
