Ashraf Sobhy meets with the 2021 World Handball Championship organizing committee

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with the organizing committee of the 2021 World Handball Championship, which will be hosted Egypt,  at the Cairo International Stadium institute.


The meeting was attended by Major General Mohamed Nour, Executive Director of the Ministry, Dr. Ahmed Al Sheikh, Head of the Central Department for Minister’s Office, Major General Ali Darwish, Director of the Cairo Stadium Authority, Hoda Ayoub, Head of the Central Administration for Investment, Major General Fawzi Attia, Minister’s Advisor for Projects, Mohamed Nasr, Financial Advisor to the Minister, and Hussein Labib, championship manager and Hisham Nasr, head of the tournament’s organizing committee in addition to members of the organizing committee.


The meeting discussed the developments related to constructing the halls, which are set to host the championship matches, and presenting a timetable for the completion of the work of all the main and subsidiary halls.


The Minister of Youth and Sports also emphasized the continuous and periodic follow-up with the organizing committee for the championship to review all developments related to organizing and hosting the largest championship of the International Handball Federation. In addition Dr. Sobhy assigned specific tasks to each sub-committee of the committee. The coordination steps were also presented with the International Handball Federation in implementing all the international requirements of the halls.
