Sports Minister attends FIFA Legends Match

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, attended FIFA Legends match hosted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, at the great pyramids of Egypt which included a number of African and international legends ahead of the CAF Awards 2019 ceremony to be held on Tuesday in Hurghada.

 

The Minister of Youth and Sports welcomed all the guests and football legends from the various countries participating in the ceremony, thanking CAF for holding the ceremony in Egypt, and FIFA President for his keenness to attend the concert, and its accompanying events. 


Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass said hosting football legends in front of great pyramids is a great event, promotes tourism to Egypt.


Hawass asserted that this match conveyed a message to the whole world that Egypt is safe and all the archaeological areas are secure.


The match was held in the presence of Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Tourism and Antiquities Minister Dr. Khaled Anani, FIFA president Gianni Infantino.


The first team included a number of African and Arab football legends: Hassan Shehata, Drogba, Sami Al-Jaber, Mustafa Haji, Ahmed Hassan, ElHaj Diouf, Flavio, Abedi Peleh, Wael Gomaa, Kanoo, Khalilo Fadiga and Rabeh Mager.  With Ahmed Ahmed President of (CAF).


And the second team included Julio Caesar, Cafu, Veron, Gomez, Okosha, Jeremy Nateb, Green Plume, and Gianni Infantino president of FIFA.
