Sports Minister attends Black Ball Squash Open Press Conference

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, attended the press conference in which the details of the 2020 CIB Black Ball Women’s Squash Open Championship will be revealed. That will take place under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.


Sports Minister thanked all those working on this championship which is being held for the second season and brings together different civilizations of countries on the land of Egypt. He added that it was a pleasure to meet the president of the World Squash Federation (WSF) as he’s expressed his thoughts and happiness of the rapid and renewed development of squash in Egypt.


Sobhy added that the country's interest in Squash has become great, especially after they were honored by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi more than once for the great achievements that players have achieved at the international level.


It’s also what made us start in the national project for discovering the talented people in squash.


Around 14 countries are taking part in the championship: Egypt, England, New Zealand, USA, Wales, Hong Kong, India, Belgium, Australia, Canada, France, Scotland, Malaysia, and South Africa.
