Egypt celebrates the first sports achievement after the return of sports activity

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports,  praised the achievement made by Mohamed Taher Zeyada, player of Egypt’s equestrian team, who won the “Csi lier” title of the World Equestrian Championship. 


Mohamed Taher Zeyada is the first Egyptian player to win a title of an international championship after the return of the sports activity, and he is one of the Egyptian equestrian team stars, and he holds a joint sponsorship from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Wadi Degla Clubs Company, the National Bank of Egypt, and Rawabit Sports.


Sobhy congratulated Mohamed Taher on winning the first place at the show jumping championship in Belgium, an achievement added to the Egyptian equestrian records, and he expects more world titles achieved by the Egyptian players in the various games in the next period, thanks to the good preparation and commitment to the individual training during the period of activity ceasing with taking all procedures and precautionary measures announced to face the spread of Coronavirus.


The Minister affirmed the continuous coordination with the Olympic Committee and sports federations at the level of preparing the players for the upcoming tournaments and the Olympic Games next year, and implementing the programs and training plans scheduled for them in their times to obtain more achievements in the various International tournaments.
