Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, agreed to
develop the ministry's portal system, “Egypt's Portal for Youth and Sports”,
being officially launched in four languages (Arabic, English , French and
Swahili), in preparation for the Handball World which will take place in Egypt January
2021, as well as to ensure communication with young people in Egypt and abroad.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy
pointed out that the electronic portal is an integrated media system (news
website - Internet radio - YouTube channel - pages on Facebook, Twitter and
Instagram) whose objective is to serve Egyptian youth in and out Egypt and
build a bridge for communication among young people around the world.
The minister added that we as a ministry are working to
provide a new service for the handball world championship which will take place
in Egypt through a portal launched in four languages to cover the events of
the championship and serve the fans everywhere.
He added that the Egypt strives to ensure the success of the
championship in all its aspects, adding media is the most effective way to
embody these successes on the pitch. It is for this reason, we will provide
multiple services to the guests of the World Cup before, during and after the
championship, not to mention the services provided by the State thus reflecting
the international place occupied by Egypt.
This is part of the services provided by the ministry to
make the handball championship that the whole world awaits a success to reflect
Egypt's ability to organize world championships, especially since it has
organized the two biggest events on the African continent: the African Cup of Nations
Championship and the African qualifications for the Olympic Games. He added
that the electronic portal would not only be limited to providing sports
services, covering the championship and star dialogues, but would rather extend
to providing information on teams, competitions and venues and the location.
way of attending matches. The portal will also review the tourist and
archaeological places of each governorate hosting the teams and will offer the
free photo service with high quality, accessible to all local and international
media.
It should be noted that the ministry radio will be dedicated
to covering the championship 24 hours a day. A new group of young presenters
are currently being trained to start the radio in its new form in conjunction
with the raffle ceremony, as well as the training of around 25 young men and
women graduates from the Faculty of Mass Communication and talented students
from other faculties who represent the core of future presenters, which is a
new addition provided by the Ministry of Youth to Egyptian media.
The electronic portal of the Ministry of Youth and Sports
has undergone significant development over the past period, as it has become an
inclusive means of interaction bringing together young people from around the
world and from where they can access the services provided by the ministry,
adding that it is a bridge of communication with young people abroad, whether
they are expatriates or immigrants, with a view to discovering Egypt well and
being aware of all questions, tourist places, services and championships in
which Egypt participates.
