The Pharaohs achieve 1.5 million steps in “Challenge our steps together” initiative

27 Egyptians managed to participate steps in a Challenge initiative “our steps together” supporting the movement of the International Special Olympics to achieve 52 million steps by the end of August 29; they achieved 1.5 million steps out of 40 million steps that have been achieved up till now and only two days before the end of the humanitarian initiative. This initiative witnessed the participation and many nationalities turn out residing on the land of the UAE or abroad. The Pharaohs occupied the fifth place among the number of participants, and of course, the Emirates was in the first place in terms of participants numbers, India, then Palestine and the Republic of the Congo, and after that Egypt, then Pakistan, Jordan, England, South Africa and the rest of the other nationalities.


Ahmed Al-Sayyad's ranking retreated to second place with a score of 314222 steps after one day from the top of the competitors' list, as the Indian contestant advanced with a score of 362,114 steps.


The UAE Special Olympics, headed by Minister Shamma Al Mazroui, Minister of Youth and Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the regional presidency of the Special Olympics headed by Eng. Ayman Abdel Wahab and sponsored by Bin Aziz Group, launched an initiative on August 19 for 52 million steps in support of the Special Olympics movement. The Olympics will complete 52 years next September as it was launched for the first time in 1968 through the First World Games, in which a thousand players participated and competed in three sports. The last global games held in Abu Dhabi witnessed the participation of 7500 players from 192 who participated in 26 Olympic sports, which witnessed a great turnout of different nationalities.
