Minister of Sports discusses ways to advance camel racing with Camel Federation chairman

Yesterday Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, met Sheikh Eid Hamdan, Egyptian Camel racing Federation chairman, and several Arab tribal sheikhs, to discuss ways to advance camel sport.

During the meeting, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy confirmed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports did not spare any effort to support the Egyptian Camel racing Federation and helped to advance it. He referred to the interest of the Egyptian state and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in camel racing, which has emerged during the last period, as Egypt hosted many special sporting events in Camel racing.

The Minister of Youth and Sports added that camel racing has a symbol and a great history for our Arab tribes. The youth of the Arab tribes care and have a great interest in practicing it.

Eid Hamdan thanked the Minister of Youth and Sports for his continuous support to the Egyptian Camel racing Federation. The meeting was attended by Ahmed Al-Sheikh, Head of the Central Administration for the Minister’s Office Affairs, Adel Radwan, Head of the Central Administration for Sports Performance, Muhammad al-Kurdi, Minister’s Assistant.
