Egypt sets new Guinness World Record for making the largest "Peace" sign

Sports Minister: The Support by political leadership for Egyptian sports is behind every great achievement.


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, announced that Egypt achieved a new world record in Guinness Book of Records. The record is set by Egypt for making the largest "Peace" sign with a total of 551 life jackets in record time of 13 minutes and 37 seconds in Suez Canal in Ismailia City.


Minister of Youth and Sports noted that the Egyptian sports are taking steady and stable steps and achieving successive accomplishments with the support and sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.


Sobhy pointed out that the registration of Egypt by setting a new world record was achieved a after strenuous efforts and the fulfilment of all the requirements set by Guinness World Records to make the largest "peace" sign, carried out in Ismailia City, in the light of the global celebration of the International Peace Day. The Egyptian celebration of International Peace Day bacame the only celebration in the world that was recorded in Guinness Book of World Records.


Dr. Ashraf Sobhy thanked all concerned parties involved in organizing the event and gave special thanks to Captain Walaa Hafez , Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation, Suez Canal Authority, and all the Egyptian youth participating in this global event.


Guinness for World Records welcomed the requests that asked it to show more presence in Egypt, which seeks to set new records for itself. Guinness promised to spread its presence in Egypt after the honorable discharge by Egyptians after setting a new world record for making the largest "peace" sign.
