Today, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, inspected the Olympic Village, Assiut University with Major General Essam Saad, Governor of Assiut, Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, university President, and the leaders of the Ministry, the governorate, and the university.
During his inspection of the social club and the swimming pools complex, Sobhy praised the outstanding level of the participants in the swimming pool training, and the construction development in the complex, stressing the structural evolution that occured to the youth and sports facilities in Assiut and in Upper Egypt governorates in general, which occupy a large share of the government development plan.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Minister of Youth and Sports honored the winners of the marathon which was held this morning, with the participation of young men and women, in addition to exchanging memorial shields among the Minister, the Governor of Assiut, and the president of the university.
The first place was won by Mahmoud Ashraf Ali, the second place was won by Amr Hussein, the third place was won by Bilal Khaled, the fourth place was won by Salah Ashraf, the fifth place was won by Ibn al-Walid Khaled, the sixth place was won by Mustafa Muhammad, the seventh place was won by Mustafa Hassan, the eighth place was won by Asim Hijab, the ninth place was won by Khaled Abdel Nasser and the tenth place was won by Ihab El-Din Mustafa.
