The “African School” announces the names of young people admitted to the first batch

The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced the names of young men and women who were selected to attend "Africa Summer School 2063", implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with the Pan-African Youth Union, in partnership with the African Graduate School, as an academic partner, within the framework of the fourth edition of the African Awareness Program. The Africa Summer School is the first interactive school to prepare young people from governorates of the Republic and active African students, in line with the ongoing preparations for Egypt’s AU presidency 2019.
It is planned to participate in the activities of Africa Summer School - implemented by the parliament's central administration and civil education in cooperation with African Youth Bureau at the Ministry of Youth and Sports - (100) students and (20) students on the waiting list of the total number of (4332) candidates : (2175) candidates through the online form of the African School 2063, launched on 11 November 2018 and (2157) candidates from databases of young people who participated in previous programs.
It should be noted that the School will provide an adequate opportunity for unsuccessful candidates from whom the School will select the most eminent elements to participate in future events to be held in Aswan as the capital of African youth.
The (4332) candidates are divided as follows: sons of border provinces, non-Egyptian Africans, sons of governorates and sons of institutions. The selection process was carried out in three stages, taking into account geographical, educational, institutional, cultural, social, professional and sexual diversity as well as the representation of various ages.
The vision and goals of Africa Summer School are based on three levels: Egypt’s Vision 2030 at a national level, the African Union Agenda 2063 at a continental level, and the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 at an international level. The School addresses, for the first time, a number of African issues among young people in an educational and interactive form. The most prominent diplomats and Egyptian academicians, and specialists from various African countries will participate in the program activities, held in partnership with the Executive Secretariat of the African Peer Review Mechanism Program in South Africa.
